The horror, the horror.
The worst thing I've found is rotted out chassis packed with newspaper then liberally coated with under seal.
Can't remember for sure what car it was , not a Minor :D , probably a Ford or a Fiat.
Anyone got a Minor that was half undersealed from new?
That would make an interesting case study.

I think the old boys who used to paint the old engine oil onto the underneath of their cars were onto something
Definately, or the old magic mix of 50/50 engine oil and parrafin. By no means enviromentally sound. However it tends to cling to the dirt on the underside and work its way into the seams, which seems to be where a lot of corrosion can form. I have a spray bottle of this and spray it over my brothers bmw '02 where the underseal is failing. It's used everyday and I keep meaning to strip the underside and dinitrol.
