As a matter of interest an SU will pump petrol up to 60 inches (At least mine will.) Not a lot of people know that. Its the stall height, ie no flow. MikeN.

I am considering converting to an electronic fuel pump
I have a Hardy electronic pump fitted. No problems in 5 years yet.
