What is the law on this ? when is a rebuild not so ? is there a point where you replace xyz % of a car that you then have to register it as a kit car (thinking Q plate not sure if they still do that)
Just curious here really - that plate is an original part (lets assume) so why couldnt someone buy it and build a car around it from legitimately sourced bits?
Always wondered about this :)

I bet there are a lot of Minis and Minors that have had this treatment, with the owners, and anybody else for that matter, not knowing it! Not a traceable thing as far as I can see, considering the age situation, and the amount of scrapped vehicles over the years.
I wonder how many of us would refuse if the need was there. Of course the guy who sold the paperwork would know!!

I complained every day ,but its probably too late. What needs to happen is the guy needs to banned however Ebay would loose revenue so don't expect to see that>

That is the problem isn't it! I had someone banned for shill bidding (getting their mate to bid stuff up) before, but within 2 weeks his account was re-activated! :evil:
