I sent my pal off on a mission when it came to the vent tubing for his Moggie. At the second attempt ( he'd left the measurements at home and guessed wrong ) he got a length of tubing from a fishing shop ( pets ).Sold in different sizes for fish ponds, so you might find it in a Market Garden place that does ponds.Simply cut to length as appropriate.
Clean up of the terminals on the switch and some chrome cleaner, you should be good to go.Check out the switch with the multi meter , set for Ohms On/ Off = reading/ no reading ,if OK.

Good idea Bob, in fact the later cars/heaters had plastic vent hoses, rather than the wired type.

hi david i have one glove box liner you can have an some pond pump hose im pretty local to you if you wanna collect?

My spare heater has two pipes originating from the plastic fairing air vents, the outer ones go up to the windscreen metal vents, but where do the other inner tubes go? According to the diagram and parts list on the Moss car parts supplier website, it's ducting to footwell, so I guess it's just the pipe end like it is in my picture below.

Yep - that's right. They just stuck through the holes in the parcel shelf and occasionally heated the footwells - or the contents of the parcel shelf if they had worked their way back. A bit crude but that was the way it was

Thanks Bruce, then in that case, thats the way it's going to be here. The heater with one side off, the moving flap that directs the flow of hot air has a simple hinge at the bottom, the hinge studs are mounted on both side panels so it's a bit like making an Airfix model Lancaster where two halfs go together and everything depends on getting everything lined up as you fit it into position.[frame]

in between fitting bits of the heater, the Pickup itself came in very handy today for taking things to the charity shop and the council tip, that stepper I purchased, Jane never used it, she goes to Aerobics once a week and that keeps her fit, I'm using my bike to get to work in wet weather and that keeps me fit, so the stepper is now scrap fodder for the council recycling centre.[frame]

and to cap it all saw a great condition second hand mountain bike for Harry, piece of cake to get it in the back of the pickup. He was very pleased with it, 15 Shimano gears, he's spoilt, only had five in my day. He's got no excuse now for sitting in front of that computer game playing tour de france.

the heater is a convincing comparison with the old rusty one. Just need to dig out the white letraset and mark screen, car, off on the heater front panel over the crackle paint.

what made my day is that before the old heater went to the great heater scrap heap in the sky, I managed to salvage the ducts without splitting them, and consulting my Mogbob workbench notes, I see that a good soak is now in order followed by some vinyl spray.[frame]

It is probably worthwhile to replace the foam strips on each end of the matrix, by now the old stuff will be dust held together by force of habit!

Did you take the knob of the end of the slider lever? You can't get them new, and can fetch £5 or so on ebay!

I did consider taking it off as a spare Chris, but it cracked when I tried to lever it off.
The heater restored to a tidy condition, bolted in. Still to be wired in, but the vents screwed up into the top of the dash neatly, It may not operate as a heater just yet, but at least that annoying draft from the main vent from the front of the car is taken care of.

the wire goes from switch to the motor then out to a loose connection I've yet to tie in somewhere, there must be an earth for the heater somewhere, it's shown on the wiring diagram, but there's no sign of it on the actual heater.[frame]

One of your previous pics shows a wire with a bullet connector on it, this goes over to the black earth around the indicator switch area. The green one goes up to the spare place on the wiper switch and this powers the motor.
Too many Minors so little time.....

Thanks David, good advice, I'll try that later, Ive still the tap,pipes and heater push knob and cable to fit, but it's a lot less drafty so far. I hate working Saturdays, but at least I'm spoilt for choice for spaces in the staff carpark.[frame]
