Filter oil........

Post by jojax64 »

I bought a K&N filter on eBay. It says on the box that the element is designed in such a way that when cleaning it, it should be coated with K&N "filter oil".
Anybody came across this before? If so, is there another readily available oil that could be used?

One of my friends uses WD-40 but im sceptical about that. I would prefer to use the correct stuff knowing it is doing what its meant to!

Agreed, I don't think WD40 will be sticky enough for long enough.

All the automotive supplier sell it. If you can't find it, I could get you some for about £10 I think. But then that comes from Holland

Most of the uk automotive tuning suppliers will sell you some K&N filter oil. I have re-oiled them myself in the past. It's messy but easy. :D
