I did ask a while ago and got no replies so here goes again, how can I fit a temp gauge to a 1960 2 door 948cc,when there is no blanking plug on the engine! to fit a sender unit, on the 1098 its near the thermostat housing but then you already knew that.

It's shorthand for Austin Healey Sprite or MG Midget

would it be possible to have a similar set that one has for a oil gauge eg were the engine drain tap is fit a Tee where the drain tap is and with the sender coming out of the end of the Tee and the tap out of the side

jtd.75 , we did as you suggested, and put a sender unit where the engine drain is, and so far it has been working well. We didn't bother with the T piece, as we b*ggered the drain tap getting it out.
The sender unit and gauge was a generic one bought from a parts dealer

I soldered a brass threaded sender unit mounting to the top tank of the radiator.
I will soon be swapping for a Mini head with the sender port under the thermostat as discussed earlier, but the main reason for that is the bigger valves.
