Front brakes
Ok, most of you have probably read I am about to aquire a convertible. It is a very late '63/ early '64 (registered on 2nd Jan 64) it has the earlier style dash with the pull switches, but the later non- clap hand wipers. Does anyone know (or care to make an educated guess) what size brakes should be on the front?

RE: Front brakes
8" - the bigger ones... that's what my mum's had that was a late 62 / early 63. It was one of the changeover models with pull start ignition & amber speedo but had flashing indicators & a 1098... had the early heater in it too & the duotone seats....
Saloon though... not convertible.
Beat you Ray!!

RE: Front brakes
Should be standard 8" drums on the front - very unlikely to be anything else unless it's had disks fitted.

RE: Front brakes
Yep, 8" drums and a 1098 engine.
Sounds similar to my '63. Have a look:
