I'VE JUST BEEN OFFERED A MARINA ENGINE SO WENT AND CHECKED IT OUT BUT IT'S A 1800 GT THE GUY AT THE BREAKERS RECKONS IT WILL FIT THE MINOR BUT I'M NOT SURE CAN ANYONE ADVISE PLEASE.

ALSO HI TO THOSE I CHATED TO AT THE BROADLANDS SHOW IN ROMSEY AT THE W/END HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE NEXT MEET,

It's a 'B' series engine which is larger and much heavier than the 'A' series in a Minor. I understand that it can be shoehorned into the Minor's engine bay but those on here who know will tell you that it's pointless as there's little power advantage over the smaller engine and it means a lot of modifications (whereas a 1275cc 'A' series will fit in easily).

Don't bother putting it in a Minor, but if it's a later one it might be worth seeing if any MGB owners want it :) IIRC the later Bs in the Marina were somewhat more robust than the ones in the earlier MGs, but I could be wrong.
