Hi!
Should there be some kind of trim around the door lock on a Minor ? my lock is sitting about 1.5-2mm behind the door outer skin so there is a gap between the lock and the sheet metal, is there supposed to be something around the door lock to make it look nicer or is that just the way it is ?

The key barrel doesn't have any trim but yours is set too far back probably because you are missing a trim piece near the handle. Picture is my 1969 convertible which is the same as any 2-door of that age in terms of the lock.

The trim piece at the handle is removed at the moment, going to paint the car so it was like that before also, but thanks for the information, I will see if I can adjust the handle so the gap get smaller.
