Spin on oil filter makes to choose from

Post by jmk2g40 »

Hello fellow moggy owners, I thought I share some knowledge around the choice of spin on oil filter makes and models which I have found out all fit the moggy if you have the spin on oil filter conversion kit

1. Borg and beck BFO 4077
2. Framm PH966B
3. Bosch 0451102056
4. Napa NF03016
5. Mann W712
6. Mahle 0C21
7. TJ QFL0029
8. Febi 38813
9. Blue print ADM52122

I got the Borg and beck filter with the spin on kit from Esm
I put this model into google and well partsinmotion website had this filter for £5 something
I rang them up and he sent me the filers mentioned above for alternatives.
I know there are other filter makes mentioned in other posts but I thought I share this so if you want them go to PartsInMotion website type in what filter you want listed above and that’s it free delivery also.
Thanks.
Jay.

There's plenty of comparison websites that provide this function, but remember they're all looking at what will fit, not necessarily at operational equivalence.
Some may filter better than others due to the materials used and the quality of their internal construction.
There are videos on youtube making comparisons, this one for example: https://youtu.be/ILxOFivyHrU?t=120
Basil the 1955 series II

Thanks for the reply the video looks interesting and it shows some differences between the filters

I personally use Mann filters for my daily car a Vw golf as they are oem and Vw use them from factory so will probably use them in the future for my morris minor, but this is personal choice.
