Just taken ownership of converted 1968 Morris 1000 and was wondering if any light could be thrown on it other that what I already have.
It was converted in about 1988 by Minorite UK of Leicester, then in 2012 it was restored possibly in Northampton area at 61594 miles when odometer was reset. A lady owned it from about 2007 to 2024 doing about 3500 miles over that time. I have MoTs back to 2010. It is clearly an older restoration but still in good order. Any information much appreciated

Re: WAB 765G past history please
Congratulations on joining the Morris Minor world.
"AB" is Worcestershire first registered. G runs from August 1968-August 1969
If the car has the original engine it may start 10ME which indicates it uses closed-circuit engine breathing via a Smiths PCV valve. This oddity (for Morris minors) was only used for about a year. My 1969 factory convertible has a 10ME engine.
You can apply for a Heritage Certificate from the British Motor museum. This will give build date, which dealer it was supplied to etc.
Why not post some pictures so we can say hello to your car!

Hi Stephen,
Many thanks for the reply and information which I will certainly act upon. Will look at engine number when it stops raining!
Only got a couple of pictures so far.
Will be going to Beaulie on Sunday but not in Minor as it has a brake fluid leak.
Regards
Adrian

Just found an old registration document - shows a Ms Bellamy owned it from 2010 (it was restored in 2012) up to about 2024/25 and I think a club member. Would quite like to know what the restoration entailed and who carried it out - suspect it was done in Northampton area.
