Can someone tell me the correct gasket for a concave type tappet side cover with a breather and oil catch pipe?
I need to clean out the breather.
Also does it require a rubber washer?

Re: Tappet cover gasket
For the concave tappet chest cover: Neoprene gasket is the correct type. For the machine screw that holds the cover on it is just a fibre washer, 5/16" that is used under the head of the screw.
The length of the machine screw is different for the convex and concave types of cover. The convex type uses a longer screw and also a metal cup washer and rubber washer under the cup washer. The cup washer and rubber washer can also be used with the concave cover, if wanted, but the machine screw needs to be long enough to accommodate this. Concave cover 5/16" UNF x 1 1/8" Convex 5/16" UNF x 1 7/8"

Re: Tappet cover gasket
It may vary but my covers are held in place with a bolt and rubber seals held in the washers shown
