Some time ago I was driving with a couple of friends, and we were trying to decide what had changed for the better since the seventies.

The only thing that we could come up with is that most people now pick up their dog's mess. :-(

But the dog's mess has changed as well since the 70's. We don't get white dog mess these days!

And then tie it on trees or fences or push it into hedges or leave it on side of the path, or just don't bother picking it up .... the other day someone had let their dog do its business barely a foot from the dog bin.

It's being so cheerful that keeps us all going!

Can anyone think of anything that is better in 2026 than it was in the seventies? Someone suggested that clothes are cheaper....but that is because of sweat shops, so not really better. And then there is the massive amounts of water needed to produce new denim.... :-(

Well, I could say that Life is better in 2026 since I wasn't alive in the seventies.... but health problems since the middle of last year haven't made this year overly enjoyable.

NHS slowly being privatised by politicians receiving "incentives" by private health care providers - goes under the radar of the flag wavers
