Comfortable grips

Having spent the last fortnight installing a new wiring loom, this has involved quite a lot of crimping and connecting bullet connectors. I am fortunate to have both the appropriate Ripault tools for the job which make it considerably easier. However, the handles on these are quite narrow and gripping them tightly together can be painful. The crimper had thin plastic grips but the bullet connector had none and was bare steel. I found some old fuel hose in my garage and cut this to appropriate lengths and pushed it over the handles. Now the grips are far more comfortable.

A very good idea. I hope it is E10 compliant hose or you may have problems in the future.

I have both of the tools pictured above and yes the handles are not the best. There is one problem I have found with Ripault's bullet connectors and that is the ability to split or bend the bullet when crimping especially if the bullets are not genuine Ripault items. I find that the bullets are best soldered in place.
