That looks to me like a Mongolian Society of Engineers 7/43" cubit spanner on the end of an arm 3/16" in diameter, 7 feet long with 3 sets of universal joints in it.

It is - and well spotted, that man. I meant the adjustable though - available from your nearest tractor spares shop, and bought specifically to stop the engine turning when working on the clutch with the engine out of the car.

3/4" Whitworth sockets are still available from my local tool supplier to order in a couple of days and they have 2 choices
1/2" drive 26mm deep and 3/4"drive 29mm deep (I love the mix in sizes) these are both made by Britool and cost
£14:65 and £21:80 each, hope this helps.
