We've had no snow either so far but I can't say I look forward to it.
As others have already said: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody on the forum :) .
May any problems just be Minor ones!

Happy Christmas All!

Thank you for all your help this year and over many years.

I am off shortly to ring the bells for Christmas Day (in my Morris of course) but since it is VERY cold, not with the roof down

Does ANYONE actually like mince pies, or were they invented purely to offer guests you didn't like & wanted to leave asap?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

I don't like therm, I LOVE them. Bur ony good quality ones from our local traditional bakery, not the supermarket rubbish.

I like a good mince pie too. Has to be hot though and with a little bit of cream  :)

Lift the lid on a hot mince pie (preferably home made) and slide in a piece of blue stilton. Let it melt for a few minutes, sit back and savour the taste sensation :P
My wife made some delicious mincemeat scones the other day as an alternative to pies.

I would never have thought to try adding cheese. I'll try it and report back.

Put them out at night & the foxes throw them back!🥴

I seem to remember mince pie filling in some puff pastry affair, ie; a mince pie WITHOUT the need to chew thick tasteless pastry, ring any bells?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Go for homemade, supermarket, like most processed food, contains Palm & Rapeseed Oil, both need to be avoided!
