What sort of gap should I am for on the aft edge of the door to body upright?
Likewise between the rear edge of the front wing and front edge of the door?
Any suggestions/input welcome.

1/4 inch or 6mm but what you end up with depends on the position of the door hinge post, especially if it’s been replaced, and position of the front of the wing, which is determined by the front panel. Door alignment is not always straight forward on a Minor, there are many variables.

Yes, just checked mine - pretty much 6mm fore and aft....

6mm? Luxury, Im just restarting the second restoration of my 69 Pickup. having been written of twice & fixed before i got it the door shuts were all over the place. At the dack of the doors it was up to 12mm plus!
I found the rear door pillars had been caved in quite badly to the extent that i acquired a straight set from a scrapped van. These have been repaired & are about to go on. This time shall be offering up everything & sorting the door shuts before welding.
6mm or better is something to aim for!
