Given the vagueness of their assertions, and the fact that the alarming elements (a commuting ban) don't seem to have appeared on official sites, may I humbly suggest that these youtubes may just possibly be clickbait, and a load of old t*sticles.

Agreed. Best wait until official advice from FBHVC and the Club is forthcoming rather than trawl YouTube & soshul meeja for scare stories from incessant attention seekers.
And perhaps we would all do well to remember that things like VED and MOT exemptions are privileges, not rights. We are not special just because we have chosen to drive old vehicles.

Got to love a bit of Youtube click bait....

Let me save people from wasting 52 minutes they could have spent doing something worhwhile
....
First one has lots of 'could' and 'may', all to effective before September 2025...... and here we are the middle of October....

The 2nd one presumably takes 30+ minutes to talk about this : https://www.gov.uk/government/news/dvla ... n-policies
He's basically talking about all the people doing all the wackier conversion works that very few would even contemplate in their wildest dreams, or nightmares. Then he has a rant about the incompetence of DVLA...
I certainly wasn't going to watch the whole thing....

The 3rd one is just speculating about changes in the Budget; so again, a pointless watch because the only person who knows what the Chancellor is going to do in the Budget is the Chancellor.....

There's no clarification going on in any of the clips, it's all vague "might be" stuff.

Yep, the 2nd one has some interesting stuff about 'monocoque' construction, since that is what the Minor has, and how the DVLA apply, or don't apply, the IVA rules regarding the 'chassis' ...
But again, it's speculative.
