Wiring loom

This may sound a daft question I am going to put a new loom in my car it is on a dynamo at present but am going to put in a alternator should I go go for the alternator wiring loom thinking it’s only a few wires that will be of different orientation thanks

It's not a daft question at all. If you might want to go back to a dynamo for originality or perhaps a future owner might want to then perhaps stay with the loom designed for a dynamo. A simple small additional wiring harness is available from ESM that is suitable for connecting an alternator.

Simple decision. If fitting an alternator, use the appropriate wiring loom. The sensible choice.

You have to consider the 'bigger picture'....
What appearance are you after with your car?
How altered do you want it?
Are you going to be leaving the RB106 Regulator in place, or are you intent of having a vacant space on the bulkhead?

It's your car, do what you want with it, but IMHO, fitting an Alternator Loom is a commitment to only one irreversible course of action.
Fitting an 'original' loom allows you to simply change the installation and leave the option to revert it if you or anyone else so wishes.
