Thanks for all the info, think I’ll stick to the original and forget about an electronic system, will take the advice and carry spares with me 👍🏻👍🏻

OK, you have made an informed decision. So next - the best place for reliable ignition components is Distributor Doctor. Never had an issue since I started using his points, capacitor and rotor arm. That's for over 16 years or more. Previous to that, I had more problems with rotor arms than anything else but many have reported poor condensors in the past. If your coil is an old one, it will probably go on without issue. It is the cheap modern versions that tend to fail......
