Last week I spotted these 2 SU Fuel Pump Pedestals for sale on ebay at £19.99....
Clearly surplus following Electronic Kit conversions.

But they didn't sell...

So they've been re-listed at £23.99....
.

Maybe not in this case but sometimes an item can appear too cheap to be real, so re advertised with higher price. I’ve done this myself ———- the phone didn’t stop ringing ! Only joking but I have used the technique before.

I've done this for exactly the reason Bill_qaz suggested, in my case it was in the vehicle category and as I was already making a substantial loss I wasn't in a good mind to allow any further loss. Though I guess if they're not a business in this case there aren't any fees for them to recover now it's free to sell on eBay in the vehicle parts category.

The new eBay protection fees also make buying things on eBay a pain these days.

As an example, I tried to buy something and put in a bid of £27.
The auction ended, I was outbid, the winning bid displays as £23.
This is because of the way they seem to be doing the protection fees these days, I find it a tad confusing.

Also if you use Make Offer now, you might (e.g.) offer £25 but the seller will see some strange figure because eBay deduct the fee amount from whatever you actually offered.
