1967 Pickup, stood for 6 years!

Post by Winchymatt »

This pickup belonged to my dad and I, but it’s just been passed over to me. It’s been stood 6 years but got it running almost immediately! Can’t wait to drive it again :)

Needed to fix a fuel leak, bleed the brakes and new battery. But it’s running and moving again! Next is the usual filters and oil change etc

Is it possible to get a replacement gauze filter for inside the fuel pump? Can’t seem to find one anywhere.

Available with an overhaul kit but expensive if you just need the filter. Try Burlen ltd they do fuel components

Nice find! The wire wheels are a nice touch as well. Wouldn't have thought they'd look the part, but they do!

fitting a glass in line fuel filter is easy and inexpensive. I've had one on my Pickup since 2009, just fitted one to Charlie my son's two door saloon.
