Advice appreciated - I have an older steering collum in my 63 Well-side ute with the welded bracket for the older style indicator switch. Unfortunately, I bought it with a cheap indicator bolded on below the bracket (see photo). I am unable to find the older Lucas indicator switch that would fit the bracket.
Rather than replacing the steering collum, I was considering removing the metal bracket and fitting the more modern switch (with green light on the end and bakerlite housing) on the existing collum.
My question - would this work? Alternatively - anyone know where I can get the original indicator switch to fit in the bracket?
Thanks, Kynan.

Re: Old/new indicator switch
You can sometimes find them in the larger auto jumbles . I have occasionally seen them on e-bay.

Thanks - I will keep looking. Do you think the new switching mechanism would fit the old column if the bracket is removed. Thanks, KB
