If you like welding (a lot) then go for it, otherwise let it go to someone who can restore it.

The thing is that very late cars are not that desirable generally, so even though it is only 248 cars from the end it may not be that desirable when you have finished and spent all that money just to be able to say that it is 248 cars from the end.

Up to you really, naturally I would like to see ALL Minors restored, but one has to be practical and accept that some will just not make it.......

I'd keep it until you get another one that you are happy with. I have regretted selling (and scrapping) too many cars. If you have a good 'un at the mo, then hang on to it!!!

Just saw this post... interesting. We have PEV341K not the last made but it stood on a forecourt of Southend motor and Aero for 5 months before it was registered in September 1971. So.. one of the last to hit the road maybe but our chasis number puts us about 1000 from the end. Made in Adderley April 1971."C:\Users\GT191\OneDrive\Pictures\Boris the Morris\Slouthend motor and aero ltd.jpg" Image

I have one of the last convertibles. Mine was made in March 1969 and production stopped in June 1969. There are potentially a few hundred after my car and of course the fakes. I regard my car as an amazing survivor considering some of them didn't last 10 years!
