MOT Where in Cambridgeshire ?

Post by scout0903 »

I live in the Wisbech Cambridgeshire area, and my Moggy needs an MOT. I am fairly new to the area and wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of a good local ish garage where they understand how to deal with classic cars.

Would really appreciate any advice.

Well, I've never used him but there's a Minor specialist in Witchford (near Ely) called Ian Allen who I've heard others speak well of. He advertises in Minor Matters if I remember correctly.

Ian Allen (tel 01353 662485) doesn't actually do the MOTs, he takes the cars to a garage just up the road from him. He will check it over first though, and do any work needed if it looks like there are things that need attention.

If you're pretty confident of the car passing and it doesn't need a service or anything, you should be OK just taking it to your local garage...

I too have recently become an owner of a Morris Traveller, I saw Ian Allens add in Minor Matters magazine, jan/feb. He is absolutely fabulously fantastic :) highly recommend you visit him!!! I had a new radiator fitted, Ian felt like a long lost friend, I am a female and didnt feel inadequate as modern mechanics can make a girl feel : (
I live in March Cambs, not too far away!! Jeannie x :D

17 years late, but in Thorney, Heritage motors are very good. Where did you go to in the end?
