1969 Morris Minor 1000 4-Door Saloon, Smoke Grey

I've owned and cared for this Minor since 1995 and used it as my everyday car until a few years ago. It's completely standard and totally reliable. The front sills were rebuilt in 2018 but it now needs further attention in a few areas.

I've always kept the car MOT’d. The last MOT was 7 months ago. The car has been regularly serviced and is mechanically sound. It has a stainless steel exhaust fitted. Total mileage is 290,000. It's still running well on the original engine, with oil changed every 3,000 miles throughout its life.

The previous owner was also an MMOC member who drove it extensively across Europe. This car has crossed the Alps into Italy and travelled up to the Arctic Circle in Norway. See Minor Matters May/June 1995, p20, for more details of the cars history.

There are lots of receipts and MOT certificates going back to the 1970s, including the original BMC service book. There are also loads of second hand spare parts that I've accumulated over the years.

Attention is needed to o/s inner sill near seat belt mounting, o/s front door pillar/scuttle, and rear bootwell. It also needs a new set of carpets. I’ve looked after this car for almost 30 years, but I no longer have the time to spend on it or the space to keep it.
