1966 4 Door Saloon Restoration Project

D Reg 4 door Morris 1000 for sale. When parked it was running well, MOT'd and my day to day transport. Unfortunately I had to stop driving it as could no longer press the clutch. Equally unfortunately that was 22 years ago and it has stood on our drive ever since. I envisaged an interesting retirement project, however it's now at a point where the bodywork has reached a stage beyond my skills, equipment and motivation. When parked it was running well, good engine and gearbox and I'd replaced all brake pipes with copper ones, cylinders and shoes. Also one of the rear wheel bearings oil seals etc. I had also replaced the distributor and the head had been skimmed.
The previous owner had extensive welding done underneath and it didn't need any welding or bodywork done for its MOT's whilst I had it running. Last time I tried it the engine rotated using the starting handle. I'm hoping an enthusiast with th skills and motivation will restore it, I'd like nothing better than to see it running again in good order.
This car has the potential, once the bodywork is sorted to become a reliable classic after it's benn recommisioned. I did over 9000 miles in the, just under three years I was driving it, present mileage 6546. Includes a box of spares and accessories.
