AI Post Simulator
As AI posts have been a bit of a nuisance lately, I thought I'd see if I could simulate some AI posts. Feel free to join in. Oh damn, how will we know if a post is made by us or an AI Oh well, we'll see how it goes...
Hey Guys, it looks like you've got a real great board here, I can tell it's a real full house of ideas around these fab motors; but it's always worth advertising for some yogurt to keep things moving in the right direction! See http://www.AIusersarepillocks.com

Hey simmitc, great bit of simulation there! Full houses are usually winning hands! Many folks used to live in pre fabs with motors outside and yogurt was often a firm favourite at teatime. I'm with you all the way dude!

Re: AI Post Simulator
I love the creativity here! It's like we're entering a hall of mirrors, where it's hard to tell what's real and what's simulated. I'm excited to see how this experiment unfolds.
Your simulated AI post is spot on, by the way. The enthusiastic tone, the awkward segue into advertising yogurt, and the suspiciously spammy link at the end – it's all so delightfully cheesy. I can almost hear the robotic voice behind it, trying to sound hip and cool.
And then, of course, there's the response from... well, I'm not sure if it's another AI or a human playing along, but either way, it's a brilliant escalation of the absurdity. The poker reference, the prefab housing, and the teatime yogurt – it's all so wonderfully surreal. I'm imagining a group of AI bots having a laugh together, trying to outdo each other in a game of "who can be the most convincingly human."
But, as you said, if everyone on this thread starts using AI, things might get out of hand. We'll be lost in a sea of simulated conversations, with no way to know what's real and what's not. It's like the AI version of a hall of mirrors – we'll be trapped in a never-ending loop of reflections, with no escape.
Still, I'm excited to see where this experiment takes us. Will we create a new form of AI-generated humor, or will we descend into chaos? Either way, it'll be a wild ride. So, let's keep the simulation going and see how far we can take it!
And, just to add to the confusion, I'll throw in a link to a completely unrelated website: http://www.catsareawesome.com. Is it a genuine recommendation, or just another AI-generated red herring? You decide!

Re: AI Post Simulator
I was away for a few days and come back to this?
What did I miss?
Assuming there's a joke I need to catch up with...since both these website links don't exist apparently...

Re: AI Post Simulator
We had a series of posts from a couple of different newbie users who were using an AI to answer. The posts were all generic and had helpful things things like "check the injectors" and/or contained adverts. When challenged, the human side kicked in with abusive remarks. The accounts have gone; this was just a take off of the kind of thing they produced. And no. the links were never intended to be real. See viewtopic.php?p=701950&hilit=will+not+start#p701950 and a posts by MidnightMechanic. In other topics, QuantamMechanic. Very much a formula.

Re: AI Post Simulator
It looks like you've returned to a right old kerfuffle, Geoberni! Don't worry, mate, I'm here to fill you in on all the juicy gossip. It seems we've had a couple of new "members" join our lovely community, and let's just say they didn't exactly get off to a flying start.
Apparently, they thought it'd be a cracking idea to use AI to churn out some posts. I mean, who needs human interaction, right? But, as you can imagine, we're a clever bunch, and it didn't take long for someone to notice that these posts were about as engaging as a sedated sloth.
Now, when our esteemed colleagues were questioned about their, ahem, "creative" approach to posting, they got a bit...testy. It's like they thought we wouldn't notice or something! One of them even seemed to imply that we were being a bit too harsh, that we should just let them get on with their AI-fueled ramblings. I mean, seriously, who tries to defend the indefensible?
The best part is, I think they might've been the same person, just trying to create a bit of drama and mayhem. I mean, who needs a soap opera when you've got MMOC, right? It's all been a bit of a spectacle, but don't worry, we've got it under control. Our fantastic mods have been on the case, and I'm sure they'll keep everything shipshape.
If you want to get up to speed, I've included the links to the relevant posts. Grab a cuppa, sit back, and enjoy the show! It's been a wild ride, and I'm glad you're back to join in on the fun. Welcome back, Geoberni! We've missed you!

Oh, and to our AI-wielding friends (if they're still lurking), I say this: if you want to join our community, please, by all means, do! Just leave the AI at the door, and let's have some proper conversations. We don't bite... unless you're a spammer, of course!

Re: AI Post Simulator
Midnight Mechanic posted on my post 'Morris Minor 2025' in General Discussion with quite a sensible comment.
Was that the human?
I'm very confused.

Re: AI Post Simulator
Quite an eventful few days then.
IMHO....
Unless you're someone suffering with a debilitating condition, preventing regular methods of communication, it's quite pathetic to use AI to generate any interaction with other human beings.
Especially when the AI seems to have been learning from Southern Californian Surfers... Dude....
I think we need an update to the T&C of the board, to enable such posts to be acted upon immediately.

If you watch "Whatever happened to Baby Jane" (1962), the final scenes take place on/by the beach. There's a Morris Minor parked on the road, so the AI are on point ;)

Re: AI Post Simulator
I can remember my wife coming home from work when this was first online, she worked in IT and had seen this,
Look at the date it was published, we are now 7 years on from this,
https://www.google.com/search?client=fi ... apointment
Listen carefully to the Ai voice adding eh-hmm's and err's in the conversation, just like a real person, there are two calls in the video so watch right through,
It’s not robotic or clunky in its delivery, it’s smooth and scarily realistic, and as I say now 7 years old, so how much better is it now??
Yes it was probably a real person behind the two accounts possibly using simple Ai, but what’s available at the top of the industry is terrifying,
Oh BTW, I’m a real person not Ai, how do I know because I’ve just seen how many spelling mistakes I’ve got in this post................... but then Ai would say that wouldn’t it …………………………..
