Differential question...
I’m rebuilding a 3.9 diff. The pinion pin has two flats machined into it but as I was gently drifting it out I failed to catch it so I don’t know which way the flats were facing. It can go in two ways because of the little pin that ‘secures’ it. Does anyone know if it matters which way the flats should face? I can’t see any oil ways or anything so am assuming it doesn’t! Thanks!
