This is a superior clutch cover than the later 6 spring type and having the 9 springs will be better in transmitting power if your engine is tuned.

Is this a good thing to have Phil? I am thinking of having my standard 1098 "warmed up" a bit when it is rebuilt shortly.

The clutch in the link above is for the 948cc 'A' Series with the 6 1/4" dia clutch plate/cover. It is not suitable for the 1098cc 'A' Series with the 7 1/4 dia clutch.
It is more than suitable for a tuned 948cc engine. The same clutch cover was fitted to the early Triumph Spitfire.
