Convertible?
My 1958 Convertible has a VIN starting LLB11. This as I understand is a Traveller VIN?? Log book shows Minor Coupe 948cc with first registration 04/01/1958. Is this just a mistaken VIN. Would someone convert a Traveller to a Convertible? Very unlikely.

Re: Convertible?
The prefix LLB makes no sense to me
Could you have mis-read it? Traveller should be FL a 2dr. saloon FB and a convertible/tourer FC I think?
I know of two Convertibles which started life as Travellers, so it can be done. After all, the underbody is largely the same on both - and the traveller and convertible both share the same strengthened inner sills which the saloon does not - so in some ways it makes some sense! Obviously the saloon (or convertible) rear quarter panels, bulkhead and boot surround have to be transplanted along with the inner wing tops but it isn't an impossible job.

You are right, my mistake. It's FLB11.

Re: Convertible?
FLB suggests a Traveller finished in Grey I think. Who knows what the history really is though? Does the same chassis number feature stamped into the engine bay bulkhead? That would tell you whether you actually have that bodyshell I suppose?
Re: Convertible?
Plate is missing. Number stamp at top right hand illegible.
Re: Convertible?
Eventually found the chassis number stamped on bulkhead 567387

Re: Convertible?
More unlikely would be to change a traveller to a convertible!
