Would the van/pickup leaf spring kit from ESM fit a Series 2 traveller? Or would it be an unnecessary upgrade? I do want to carry a lot of weight in the back sometimes. None seem to be in stock at the moment which is annoying.
Cheers

Re: Rear leaf springs
The van springs are different to traveller springs and are not interchangeable as far as I know

Re: Rear leaf springs
Ok thanks for the reply. The traveller springs will probably be ok if they're designed to take a couple of people and luggage in the back.

Re: Rear leaf springs
Some people have been disappointed with the springs from ESM (search for previous threads). I had mine made to order by Jones Springs. This is much more expensive but I am very pleased with them.

Re: Rear leaf springs
The front eye of the van/pickup spring is larger than the the front eye of the saloon spring.

You could always fit the ESM rear damper kit with additional coil spring.

Alternatively you could exchange the top leaf of the van/pickup spring with that of a saloon top leaf so retaining the 8 leaves.
I would suggest that the road holding would be a bit bouncy when unloaded.
Also I would be wary of carrying more than the vehicle was designed for - your insurance company might not be too happy if as a result of an accident you were found to be overloaded.
