Re: LCV Register
Has been offline for a couple of days, I assumed it had been removed in favour of the social media groups, as it has been somewhat of a wilderness for a long while now.
Re: LCV Register
Yes I was thinking along those lines, shame it didn’t get used. If a thread was started there was little response to follow. Although if it has finished I’d have thought there would have been notification of some sort.
Re: LCV Register
Does Brian Lee still have anything to do with the register, if so maybe worth asking him.

Re: LCV Register
It still seems to be unavailable. I know we have had this issue on and off before so hopefully it will just reappear but sadly seems the LCV Forum does seem to be a very sad relation these days to the LCV Facebook presence.

Re: LCV Register
Can't work this out, would of thought it quite popular given fb not everyones' cup of tea...plus, from what I remember, their first one was quite popular....
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
Re: LCV Register
I’m not yet convinced it’s over, however if it is, then it’s very rude not to give any warning.

What do you mean by that remark? If you’re referring to my last post, ——-I don’t know who is responsible for what’s happened, just saying it is polite of those responsible to inform people if indeed, the forum has ended. Maybe it hasn’t, who knows.
According to your first post, you seem to feel it’s a mystery as to what’s happened !! Quote: ‘can’t work this out’

Re: LCV Register
What do you have to do to be banned from two sites ?
Reminds me of a line from a Billie Bragg song ———— if you’ve got a black list I want to be on it !!
Back to the Register ——For reasons I’ve mentioned, I rarely post there now. For some reason even those at the top of the Register seem to prefer facebook or indeed this forum, rather than their own !!

Re: LCV Register
Eventually found the site you were talking about, if you right click on the forum page you find the actual page itself is completely void of any content which explains why it doesn't work
In the mean time, if there are any posts you wish to view while it's down, then some are available (up to 16th August 2022):
https://web.archive.org/web/20220816081 ... 68c4b8357d
Doesn't render entirely right, but the information is accessible at least

Re: LCV Register
Using that link, just out of interest, I clicked Log on, (top right) then after entering username and password, the next window told me I need to register before going further, the window was dated—-5th March 2020 6.45am. Without confirmation I’m reluctant to believe the LCV site has finished but its looking very much like it may well have done.

Re: LCV Register
Would of thought the LCV Register fb site would have mentioned forum was either temporarily down or finished?

Re: LCV Register
Hi Les
In all fairness, LCV Register let down by lack of activity & answers to questions.
Can spend £'s on publicity/advertising & a professional looking forum, but IF it doesn't supply quickish answers nor supplies accurate info....it's a waste of time & enthusiasts will go elsewhere, thus the popularity of fb forums.
