Diff ratio

Post by paulb2 »

Been offered a diff for my 63 minor, (1098) no filler hole on the front there's one on the axle case so appears right?

Stamped on the crown wheel is 9/38.

Could anyone advis if this is the correct diff for the car?

9/38 is a 4.22 Diff so should be correct for a 1098

9/38 refers to the number of teeth on the drive pinion and the crown wheel

38 divided by 9 is 4.22.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
