Some time back I purchased a 1275cc Marina engine fitted with a damper crankshaft pulley. There was a piece broken out of the pulley and as it is otherwise in excellent condition, I decided to machine out the remains of the flange. It would be a pity to put in the scrap bin.
The pulley is a Pt No: CAM4902 item. Having removed the rest of the flange the pulley is now in the style of the damped pulley Pt No: TAM1241 which does not have the flange. A bonus of removing the flange is that the rubber element can be examined, and which was found to be in good condition.
The balance of the pulley will not be compromised by removing the flange.

The pulley was originally fitted with a timing disc on its rear face. That was removed and the three-rivet holed drilled and tapped to enable a three-arm harmonic damper puller to be utilised.

I have today replace all drums shoes and cylinders just need to flush and bleed tomorrow..

The wife is having a bedroom sort out and I'm re-arranging the garage and workshop so much rubbish generated. All this and a couple of tubs of garden waste packed into the back of Ted the traveller then off to the tip
