Old Photo

Post by les »

Looking through some old family photos, this one turned up.
Written on the back————-Mr & Mrs Jenkins & their Dodge car in which we are taken many drives.

Taken 3rd June 1923, at the foot of Flint Creek Hill. I wish I knew more ! I think it is in Montana.

The car is a Dodge 30/35 with the distinctive diamond ‘opera windows’ in the hood.
See the white tyres - pre WW 1 tyres were made from natural rubber which was white, which is why Bibendun, the Michelin Man is white. Carbon was added later to increase durability. (Thanks QI)
