Many thanks, the tool rack has attracted a lot of attention, especially on the engineering forum, guess no one else paints them to look bright!

Because I had a hole load of billet be rude not to use it right? Exactly so I have started a water pump pulley, then I will make a VX power pulley 21 tooth, then finally the water inlet that I prototyped a year or so ago, enjoying my new kit and the practice of machining.
Because I don’t have one big enough bit of billet, I will make a hat then the grooved disc, then I will assemble and friction weld together. Then off to the ballancer and then hard anodised finished clear.

Been busy sadly on some non Moggy bits, but thought id share, my gen 1 Boxster is back on the road, so id thought id make all the bits, one you can't buy and two the bits that i want!.
1. Momo Prototipo steering wheel and boss
2. My own paddle shifters, CNC out of ally, the switches 3d printed and all hand finished, inc wiring
3. RS door pull, like the rennline 996 ones
4. manual looking gear knob, i know my box is tipronic, just want to be different.

This includes, new factory hard top, new race seats and belts, race rollcage, extinguisher and race battery, stripped of all the unnecessary things, carpets, AC, sound proofing etc, new brakes, discs, pipes, new radiators RACE 40% bigger, new tyres, full service, inc gearbox service, all liquids new. exterior will have race decals 3M Dynoc bonnet wrap, guards red wing mirrors and roundals on doors and bonnet.

Need to add, VDO oil temp/pressure gauges to low dash, and might even flock the dash as well?

All the big works done by Darren Campbell of CSCR in Isle Brewers, very happy with my new look gen 1 Porsche Boxster

Completed steering wheel, boss spacer and paddles, need to add 3ohm resister in line, for the airbag loom and swap out the tiptronic wiring, they run a single pole double toggle, eg each side is up and down, i have up right and left down......

I will change the paddle bracket, once its all working, i feel it should mimic the angle of the steering wheel, might even taper it as well, still like everything its taken ages just to get here.
the boss shown is the spacer no the final boss, subject to paddle/indicator position will determine how deep the spacer needs to be, then i can machine down to perfect spacing.

A little up date, not on the moggy, just general car stuff, this one is the head build images for my Rometch Special, finally worked out how to assemble the throttle bodies, need to make a rod between bodies, and also drill and tap the fuel rails.
Really please with the look n feel, need to finish the fan housing now then the engine is ready to fire up.

Empi race heads with large valves 44x37.5 stage 3 wedge port CNC port matching to inlet manifolds
Dual race springs, valves 3 angle cut,
Weber IDA 48 throttle bodies, will be tapped for NOS
150mm trumpets
Porsche 4 cam valve covers

Will be going into a 1776 strokked motor, balance nose to tail, race weighted flywheel and stage 3 clutch.

Working like a mad man until the end of September, then back in the shop for a few months, cannot wait!

Update:

The Porsche has terminal gearbox issues, as such being pulled out and sent up to deepest darkest Scotland to be rebuild, issues are the mechanical or solenoid brain that sit in the wet sump. All ZF gearbox types suffer the same damage, all parts guys suggest oil change every two years or 10,000 miles, OEM/Porsche state every 60K.

Moggy got all the Suspension back from the powder coaters this time in the right colour, now assembly can start.

So, the itchy me bought another toy, a 69 VW Beetle running a 1776 race engine, and it's great fun, slow at braking, drives like a scolded cat and is currently entertaining my visceral driving experience that my senses require.

All my race bits for the moggy will now be stolen for the bug, can always replace later, going for roll cage, Porsche RSK seats, fully plumed and remote battery, needs discs up front, and will run a Freeway Flyer gearbox, planning road and fun rallies and some touring, about to take over a larger unit so will have space to house the collection, workshop and store......Keep warm all.

A little update, apart from having bloody COVID, and generally feeling crap, got the complete rear drum assemblies re build, using original parts all zinc phasiphated and re assembled. And then finally got he trumpets for the IDF re printed, still need to tweak the shape, but at this point generally happy.
Mod one on Vw 1776 engine will be oil/air bypass for rockers covers, engine and oil breather to fit. New 1 5/8 stainless BB header with Phat boy exhaust and the the new IDF 40 setup, using the Weber Redline carb bar and fittings.

Then front discs, then rear discs then new GTV2 wedge port CNC heads with new IDA 48 carbs, that should conclude stage III.

Fighting horrible flue, like so many, but finally got my seat bases made for the RSK seats in the BUG, beginning to clear workshop and should have moggy update before the end of the month...

the seat position is far better than the stock seats, might reconsider the moggy seats, although they will be Kirkey seats...

Some more bits for the bug, like the moggy i drilled and chamfered the holes to give it the old skool racer look, these have gone to a platers up north. Always worrying when you don't meet F2F, have to say i'm more than happy with the final results.
All the ancillary parts have been zinc coated, so a reassemble the fitting.
They will be fitted this weekend for sure.

Yes just my opinion, I saw it as relative to the work you’ve put into other areas. I’ve got Porsche ‘tombstone’ seats in my van with built in headrests. Good luck with the planed seat work.
