I’ve got a bit of an oil leak from the back of my sump, which I’m lead to believe is possibly the cork seal and quite common so not a source of immediate panic...
However, I get this leak without using the car. If I clean it up with some paper towel it’s back by the next weekend.
Is that normal? I’d kindof assumed the sump wasn’t ‘full’ to the point where it was resting against the seal but maybe I’m wrong? Probably
Also, I’ve noticed that the oil mark left is quite black even though I’ve changed the oil. So I’m wondering if this is perhaps gearbox oil? However, it could just be old dirty oil gunk up and around the seal being mobilised by fresh oil new oil.
