MMOC Committee Meeting feedback
A meeting took place between myself and the club directors last Saturday morning, followed up by a full committee meeting that afternoon. Within those meetings, the issues about the dissatisfaction felt by members and club officials with the current management and maintenance of the message board, and a perception that the issues may not be being given due prominence, were discussed openly and frankly. I am very pleased to say that as a result of those conversations, full support has been given by the committee and the directors together to facilitate the move of the board in its entirety to management by club officers as soon as practically possible, and certainly by the end of February - unknowns notwithstanding.
At the same time, discussion took place about a major revision of the terms and conditions, or 'rules', for member conduct. Agreement was made that progress would be made on clarifying policy for negative comments about traders, member inclusivity, harrasment of other members and/or club officers, and complaint process and resolution.
Following those conversations I am happy to withdraw my resignation as Admin of the board, if you guys want meanyway. However, it remains true that across the board (no pun intended) too many roles are juggled by too few people. If you would like to become a moderator for this message board, or of the Facebook group, or would like to be involved with drafting those terms and conditions, please get in touch with the club chairman at andrew.stone@mmoc.org.uk or myself at admin@mmoc.org.uk .

Yes. I think that the majority of us would much rather you stayed Mike and keep doing what you're doing. I regard all this as good news . Well done - and I wish you good luck finding further help.

My sentiments, to the letter, MM. It makes a change for there to be an outbreak of common sense, so thank you to the club directors and committee.
A special thank you to you, Mike, for all your input here and on F/b.

Re: MMOC Committee Meeting feedback
Great news Mike - sounds like a sensible outcome of both points! Great to hear that the forum will be getting the changes it needs too - while Facebook is really popular compared to this board now, as a platform for hosting discussion topics, or finding them at a later date, it’s pretty hopeless… That’s progress for you!!

Re: MMOC Committee Meeting feedback
Yep, I'm already fed up with the number of people talking about re-activating Trafficators.
I think there's been 3 this week.
All sorts of strange and complicated advice being given, including one today talking about having 2 supplies to each trafficator, one to deploy it, another to light it up...
Clearly the person concerned does not understand the way they work and I can't be bothered with correcting them right now.

Agreed, Berni - my bugbear is questions about what oil to use. They are relatively frequent too…!
