Changing the rear springs

Post by TerryG »

If i remove my rather flat rear springs and fit new ones how do i make sure the axle is still in straight? (Or is that a REALY stupid question?)

New springs have locating lugs on them, over which the axle sits - that's why the spring perches on the axle have holes in the middle, they sit over the lugs.

Indeed they do - bit tired, obviously, spent all day putting on new springs and welding new perches to an Escort axle :D ...and not a stupid question if you don't know the answer!
