Hello,
One of the problems that my 1954 early series 2 has is a badly worn tip on the gear lever. The whole gear lever is apparently not original too, although it seems to fit, so, on the whole, not ideal.
Anyway, I have managed to obtain a "new" gearlever, which is in much better condition.
I have attached a couple of pictures of the tip. Is it supposed to be cut off square like that? If not, what shape is it supposed to be?
Also, the pin that holds the triangular cup on is loose, and can be pushed backwards and forwards (although not removed all the way) by hand. Is that right?
Thanks very much,
Daniel
