Petrol sender unit
Hi back again. I have noticed that when I fill up I get some petrol leaking from the sender unit. I am going to take it out and replace the gasket. What I would like some advise on is should I put some thread sealant on the bolts and if so which one to use. I have heard some don’t stand up to fuel with a redex additive. Again I am always grateful for any advise given. Regards Paul.

Re: Petrol sender unit
Hi Paul, I have done this job in the past and used a little Blue Hylomar on both sides of the cork gasket. Then tighten up the screws evenly until the Hylomar just starts oozing out. Be careful not to tighten down too much or this will distort the gasket and cause a leak.
