Hardi fuel pump

Hi all, I have a Hardi electronic fuel pump fitted to my 1098 saloon. It’s a modern electronic one so no points but still ticks, which I thought was just for an authentic sound? Well today after a run it started ticking fast for a few seconds then slow again then fast again and so on? Would this be a fuel problem or just an electronic issue? car seemed to be running ok. Normally when I first turn it on It clicks a few times as if priming the once every now and then?

I have a similar pump. It ticks when the car is a bit low on fuel and draws air into the fuel line as you go round corners brake etc.

Thanks for the reply Kevin, the tank was full. It seemed to be happening mostly when I was stopped at junctions, I’m thinking maybe fuel vapourizing I will reroute the hose from the pump to the carb and see if that helps.
