Fitting saloon rear wings

Just finished all welding work (at last! ) and got to fitting the wings back on.
Piping that came off the old ones is still OK, so will probably re-use that.
What is the best sealant to use for the wing to body joint? Hints on assembly sequence, please; as I can see it being a messy job to offer the wing into position, retain the piping, while it is all smeared in some sort of sealant.

Just use the piping, there is no requirement to seal this joint.

I just finished doing it yesterday and I found that losely bolting the wing into position then feeding the piping into place having cut out the strip where each bolt is then gradually tighten it up making sure the piping has not gone too far in. You can tweak the fit until you are happy with it all.


I just wish I could go back in time and not cut the new door seal trims off too short, mistakingly thinking that the kickplate covered the bottom.
