Midget disks
I'm about to fit MG midget disks, I have the hubs, disks, calipers etc, I have the brackets marked out on 10mm plate and will cut them out in January when I have access to oxy-fuel gas. what have others done about back plates? Are they necessary?

Re: Midget disks
The stone guards (back plates) should be retained as they do stop stones getting between the disk and caliper which could lead to deeply scored disks.
