I thought it was just me too. As with all things web-based, if it's not working there's often no way of finding out what's happening. Even an 'error404' message would have been useful.
If it was an unplanned outage/server failure I suppose it's understandable. If it was a planned/maintenance outage, there must be means by which the forum's service provider can post advance warning info on the website home page. I use another forum. It's admin and servers are based in Toronto. Any planned maintenance is always scheduled for a weekday, 6am Toronto time, and comes with 48 hours notice of outage on the home page.
As an aside, my internet service provider recommend that I report any service outage on their part either by email or by web-chat. If I phone them, I have to have access to my on-line account to give them security info. Is it just me or is there a major flaw in that...?
