Re: Split screen
So according to the description, the photos are misleading, since
The wings, doors and windows have all b ... h the car.

Sounds like not so much a 'Project', as the leftovers after they have taken what they wanted.

So call me picky but as I understand it, the Gold Seal, and Silver Seal, were replacement BMC reconditioned engines of their day, so not the original at all. Though it's perhaps in better condition than the original. The original, gold sealed 801cc engine

Yes, let's hope someone takes it who will lovingly restore it. I'm assuming it's around '52-54.firedrake1942 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 6:50 pm Certainly not '1947 ish' but looks like it is begging to be restored and should be !

Re: Split screen
I did think about it to salvage the roof to form into a hardtop for our Lowlight. A bit too far from Cardiff so it would cost maybe another £150 to move it here.

The second car - what that dog looks like it just did (mistook a car for a tree) won't help restore it!

Re: Split screen
I might be getting cynical, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see either of these cars eventually emerging fully "restored" with later body shells.

And 9 bids to date. Let's hope it goes to someone who will sensitively restore it rather than break it..........
