What a grand little car. Your finishing touches are making all the difference! The seats are particularly good aren't they. I think the vinyl material used on those cars was a very good quality - seems to last really well.

The car looks absolutely superb. You must be dead chuffed.

I'm still blown away by your garage space. How many cars can it accommodate?

Amazing car and a fantastic find! I hope you'll bin the drivers door mirror though, doesn't look quite right imho?

Agreed, the window frame 'clip-on' style looks so much more period (and is more use in my experience)

Thanks for all the comments. Yes the vinyl material was so much better than the leather. The horrible mirror which was on the drivers door has been removed and I've replaced it with a quarterlight one. Far better !!! The garage can hold the four minors with good space to work on them. It could hold 5 minors in total but i think 4 is a nice number lol.

Could I ask for a bit of information on which quarter-light mirror you have used please.

I have a drivers door mirror on my Traveller and nothing on the passenger side, I was wondering about fitting a couple of the clip on type but not sure if they are any good. The problem with the door mirror is that you cannot see much with it when the quarter-light is open as it almost covers it up.
I really miss having a mirror on the passenger side, and want to do something that matches on both sides.

Thanks
Phil

Personally, I found the clip-on mirrors pretty useless and have now replaced them with the Lucas type mirrors which have been re-manufactured and are readily/cheaply available. They have convex glasses and I have found them a huge improvement both to see cars behind me and also as an aid to reversing. I have fitted them to the triangular trim piece forward of the quarterlight.

I find the quarter light ones to be good. I have them on the drivers doors of all my minors. I certainly wouldn't be drilling holes in the doors or frames for a mirror. Though they are fastened to the frame and not the quarterlight glass.

This is what had, mounting position is ideal and quarter light does not create an issue.

How well do those clip on mirrors work on the passenger side ?
Can they be angled enough to be useful for viewing down the nearside of the car when parking etc.

The mirror pictured is exactly the same as I had on my car previously. They are better than nothing but very small and give a very limited field of vision. The mirrors I now have (on both sides) fitted to the triangle in front of the quarterlight are a huge improvement. I drive the car quite a lot and on today's busy roads the extra vision is important I think. Because they are also mounted a little further forward, you do not have to move your head/take your eyes of the road quite so much to see in them either. That was always the thinking behind the traditional wing mounted mirrors but many owners will be unwilling to drill holes in the wings and sometimes wing mirrors can get in the way.

Phil. They are no use to the driver on the passengers side. Only the passenger could use them.
