1969 Morris Minor - TLV 416H

Post by barkerr »

Question for all moggy fans out there..........

Back when I were a lad my grandad owned an 1969 Morris Minor 1000 in pale blue registration number TLV416H. First registered in Liverpool to him as the first owner.

He owned the car for the best part of 12 years i think before having to sell it as it got to expensive to keep on the road for him and he traded it in for a Mk1 Fiesta at the time - god only knows why.

Anyway I'm trying to trace the car, well the registration plate actually as being a student nurse the chances of having enough money to buy the car if it is still on the road is slim. thats assuming the plate is transferable in the first place.

If anyone knows if the moggy is out there or how I can get hold of the plate (if at all) i would be extrememly grateful for any info you may have.

Many thanks

Well doing a search on the RAC website, it is still registered, info below:-

Vehicle details
Manufacturer Morris
Model MINOR 1000
Body type convertible
Colour White
Fuel type Petrol
Date manufactured 19 August 1969
Number of previous owners
Last owner change

Unusual that there is no info on previous owners and that it's white!

Thanks for the details Lee,

whats even more strange is that now its a convertible let alone its white as originaly it was a 2 door saloon!!!!!!!!!!

I can only assume that someone has either chopped the roof off over the last 20 years since i saw her with one of the conversion kits either that or someone has restored a convertible and has had it re-registered with an available plate from the DVLA to suit the year of manfacture for the shell.

as posted by chikenjohn how do you get the info off the RAC was it throughthe buying a car pages where you can check a cars history??

many thanks again

Ray

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE FURTHER DETAILS OR EVEN PICTURES OF TLV416H??????

cheers

OK follow these simple steps...

Open the RAC page, click on My RAC, then register (free) the vehicle data check is there and it's very limited info anyway.

Hope you figure it out.

You wouldn't get a previously issued reg plate from DVLA, so either it was converted (and probably sprayed at the same time) or someone has nicked a convertible and used the reg documents from a scrap Minor to 'ring' it.
