Three things found recently that might be useful to those in Oz/NZ (but just about useless the the rest of the www

1: There are two brackets on the rear suspension of Ford XE (1985ish) Falcon wagons that match almost exactly the aftermarket Minor engine steady bar - threaded bar, nylock nuts, cup washers, rubber bushes and heavy duty right angle bracket. Very easy to fit - drill holes in the bracket for the crossmember bolts and shape it for fitting around the shock absorber. The XD and XF wagons, and maybe the sedans, might have them as well)
2: Still with the Falcon range, the EA (1990 ish) series sedans have a big rubber grommet in the underside inside sills which fit the gearbox filler hole-in-the-floor perfectly. (I was quoted $8.50 retail each for new generic grommets which were a loose fit.) It's about under the 'b' pillar - just beware of creepy-crawlies if you stick you hand under blind!

3: The Sigma (Chrysler/Mitsubishi) Bosch alternator is a good (and available) option for fitting to Minors because it's casing has two points for fitting the adjustment bolt and thus can be fitted upside-down with the pivot at the top and the adjustment at the bottom.
All of these models were popular in their day and are well represented in wreckers yards today.
Cheers,
S
